"My life closed twice before its close; It yet remains to see If Immortality unveil A third event to me, So huge, so hopeless to conceive, As these that twice befell. Parting is all we know of heaven, And all we need of hell." (Emily Dickinson)
This is a very beautiful piece, mainly due to how you used photoshop so effectively. L'esprit is French for spirit, and you nailed it. The work is beautiful and well balanced. Here's the specs: Composition: Tasteful. It is well worked and I like that the girl is off center. It provides a greater impact. But I feel as though she is too bright and almost isn't in the scene. A spirit should be more in the scene because they are tied to the place, I would darken her up a bit and blend her in a bit more. Balance: The white house in the background is a bit too white. I'd darken it so that the girl is brighter. My eye keeps being drawn back to it. I loooove the sepia effect though. It's barely there, but quite nice. I feel like she should also be a bit more off the ground. She seems to be flying but still she's right next to the ground.
Sorry I cannot say tons more, but I have to run. I hope these comments find you well and it will help you! Just always remember to have a good contrast between whites and blacks and middle greys. Always have a few white whites in a dark photo, and a few black blacks in a bright photo. Have fun!
